Sony Graffiti Competition

In conjunction of Youth Jam 2011 event, we are proud to announced that Urban-Cr3atures will collaborate with Sony Malaysia to organised a Graffiti Competition. rules and regulations are as follow below:

YOUTH JAM 2011 GRAFFITI COMPETITION

“EVERYDAY A SONY DAY”

RULES & REGISTRATION


Entries:



Design of the graffiti artwork must portrayed a youthful lifestyle with Sony Walkman or cyber-shot. It must also show the excitement to reflect the carnival or festivity mood.

This competition is open to all boys and girls between 16 – 26 years of age living and studying or working in Malaysia.

To enter, participant must submit an A4 size sketch of design and a description of the concept and idea of not more than 250 words to

before 20 May 2011.

A preliminary selection will take place to shortlist 6 most promising design. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email, sms or phone by 26 May 2011.

All the shortlisted candidates will be competing with the others shortlisted design on the spot on 4 June 2011 starting at 3.00pm and all candidates should stop working by 6.00pm sharp.

A 8ft(H) x 3ft(W) wooden plank will be erected standing on the ground for each shortlisted candidates to draw on. Every other materials are on the candidates own. Spray paint, used newspaper to cover the ground from paint, face mask and any other materials will not be provided. All candidates are advice to prepare all the materials needed on their own and bring them on that day.

All application after deadline will NOT be reviewed


ONLY 6PERSON WILL BE SELECTED.

Upon reviewing, the best 6 design will be selected and announced through sms 



Judging:



In the competition a selected team of panel of judges from the design and street arts industry will be invited judge all artworks in preliminary and final round.

Sean Lee, Founder and Designer of Shabowl Brothers

Shazril, Graphic Designer

Representative from Youth Jam.

Judges In Finals:

Zew Wey, Professional Street Artist (KL)

Kenji Chai, Founder and Designer of BlackFryday (KL)

Representative from Youth Jam/Sony Malaysia.

·    Participant will be judge on:

1. Creativity - 35%,

2. Clear communication of layout &

color - 25%,

3.Practical skill - 25%,

4. Theme - 15%

Award: 
1st-RM500 worth of cash and products + National Cert
2nd-RM300 worth of cash and products + National Cert
3rd-RM200 worth of cash and products + National Cert

We will not disclose who are the winners. All participants are supposed to come 

Penang Times Square open stage area at 9pm - 11pm to know the result.
